We love a good road trip and one of our favorite treks is to coastal Georgia and the St. Simons/ Sea Island area. As if all the gorgeous marshes and resorts aren’t enough of a lure, now there is another reason to head south. Mark your calendar for September 21-23, 2012 for the Inaugural St. Simon’s Food & Spirits Festival.
The event will bring together chefs from more than 25 of the local restaurants, fine wines, spirits and craft brews, live music, cooking classes and demos and a juried arts & crafts market. The location – storied Gascoigne Bluff. Sounds like a recipe for a winning weekend and Charleston’s own Nathalie Dupree is part of the line-up.
Stay tuned…closer to the event we’ll round-out the makings of a fabulous fall trip by posting our not-to-miss shops, restaurants, sites in the area.
